Germiston time……
Written by admin on November 8, 2009 – 9:02 pm -The racing happened at a very windy Germiston lake today.I was feeling very confident going into this race today, as my running form seems to be great at the moment.
A change of rules to last year, meant that I would be crowned series champion should I win again today, so off course I wanted this one really bad.
As with all the previous races, I had a good swim, managed a very comfortable 20km bike, and then opened the taps on the final 5km run. It worked out again today, and I managed to grab another win, but most importantly also walked away with the 2009 Series Title.

Next week its time for the African Cup event in Pretoria.

Another win in Pretoria.
Written by admin on November 7, 2009 – 1:21 pm -I can’t be happier today, as I managed to grab my third win three races. Everything went according to plan today. I had a pretty good swim, easy bike ride and then just pulled away on the run for a comfortable win.
Well done to the rest of the boys for some great racing.

2 out of 2…….
Written by admin on November 7, 2009 – 1:15 pm -Got my second win of the series in my new hometown today.
Potchefstroom was buzzing with hundreds of avid athletes all wanting their share of the action. Up front the racing was on and the Nestle and BSG boys were battling it out once again.
I got out the water up front again and managed to stay out of trouble on the bike leg. I had to win in on the run again today, but can’t be happier with how things went. I can definitely feel I’m getting stronger in every race, so looking forward to the rest of them.
Next weekend its off to Pretoria for race 3.

BSG Energade Series 2009 kicks off.
Written by admin on November 6, 2009 – 7:14 am -Today marked the first race of the 2009 Series. I won the last six races in last year’s series, so I wanted to keep the winning streak going. To be honest, I was really worried going into this race as my running form was not that great. I battled with a lower back injury during the last three
weeks, so training did not happen as I had hoped.
Nevertheless I managed to secure another win today by
out-running the field in the final 5km. Things are looking great for the rest of the series, so lets see what happens.
The BSG Energade Series has now got a Facebook page. There are lots of pics and info, so go look it up.

African Champion !!
Written by admin on July 9, 2009 – 2:06 pm -The African Regional Triathlon Championships was hosted at Ushaka, Durban this past weekend.
My form of late has been pretty good and I was really exited to race this one. I knew it was gonna be tough, as all races are these days. My race plan was pretty easy……I wanted to win.
I had a good comfortable swim exiting right at the front. On the bike things looked to be pretty boring as we cycled through the 8lap course.
Things would only happen on the run again, and the pace was on. I took the run out hard and was joined only by Claude Eksteen……..and so we ran for the next 9.8 kilometers. I had to win this one on a sprint finish, and in the end I just had the faster legs to pip Claude by a couple of seconds.
Well done to Claude and the rest of the boys for some good racing.
